Founder and CEO
As founder and CEO of Refresh Education Strategies, Jill is a seasoned leader with over 20 years of experience, spanning roles as a classroom teacher (Prince George's County, MD), school district leader (DC Public Schools), and a senior executive for a national nonprofit (PowerMyLearning), an international consulting organization (Insight Education Group), and a tech startup (Live Elements).
In her career, Jill has driven revenue growth through fee-for-service and raising philanthropic dollars, led award-winning communications and marketing initiatives, built initiatives from the ground up that included districts and national organizations and companies, and positioned organizations as national thought leaders.
As a regular speaker at conferences, her work has been featured in publications nationwide, including the New York Times, eSchool News, and NBC Bay Area.
In addition, she is the author of a comprehensive 231-page playbook for leaders entitled "Teacher Recruitment and Retention: How to Recruit & Retain Your Most Effective Educators.” The Playbook includes best practices and case studies from school districts and CMOs nationwide.

Jill earned a bachelor’s degree in elementary education from Wheaton College in Illinois and a master's degree in educational technology leadership from George Washington University in Washington, DC.
